Dr. Danielle Fratellone is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West 2011 which is in the San Francisco Bay area. After graduating from Chiropractic school, she owned and operated an award-winning family practice in Pleasanton, CA for over 7 years. Her practice won “Best of” for several years as well as being congressionally recognized for her philanthropic involvement in the community.

Dr. Danielle became the new owner of University Chiropractic in May 2019 upon Dr. Childers’ retirement. She is beyond excited to have expanded the team here at U.C. Dr. Danielle is a family wellness chiropractor with a passion for pediatric and prenatal chiropractic care. She started her journey into the wellness care profession as a massage therapist in the Poconos, PA for 5 years before becoming a chiropractor of more than 10 years. She has been trained in multiple chiropractic and massage techniques such as Webster, Palmer diversified, SOT, Activator, pediatrics, sports, extremities and nutritional education. Dr. Danielle is also trained in helping athletes as well utilizing Rock Tape as she is a certified “Rock Doc”

Dr. Danielle is extensively trained in working with pregnant women and children. She is certified by ICPA on the Webster Technique which focuses on balancing the pelvis of pregnant women. In her free time, Dr. D. loves to read, play golf, take long hikes with her rescue pup, Shasta and kayaking and paddle boarding the beautiful waterways of the Triangle.

Also, joining the team, is her puppy “Shasta”. She is a sweet girl who loves kisses. Dr. D and Shasta are looking forward to meeting all of you and being an integral part of the University Chiropractic team.

MASSAGE THERAPIST

Terri is able to bridge physical bodywork with energy healing in a way that is grounded, and practical. She believes in meeting you wherever you are on your journey; she can talk physical anatomy, or dive deep into energetics/esoteric. In every session, Terri allows a space for an organic unfolding for what you need that day. Her massage and structural integration work includes myofascial release, nerve work, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and deep tissue massage. Shamanic work may include techniques such as cord cutting, soul retrieval, and journeying.

In her free time, Terri gardens, dabbles in woodworking, fosters puppies and volunteers at Saving Grace NC.

MELISSA BORDERS

OFFICE MANAGER

Melissa Borders is the office manager for University Chiropractic. She is a Certified Clinical Chiropractic Assistant and NCCA X Ray Technician through the NCBOE, and a certified BIRTHFIT™ Leader. Outside of the practice she is just starting out as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, and loves to talk about all things pregnancy related. In her free time she enjoys cooking, and spending time with her husband Justin and children Jackson and Alivia.

Melissa grew up in New York on Long Island, and studied Music Education at Temple University in Philadelphia. She is excited to make an impact working with the Durham community alongside Dr Danielle and Shasta at University Chiropractic.

LUZ RODRIGUEZ

RECEPTIONIST

Luz Rodriguez is a receptionist at University Chiropractic. She is an experienced servant leader with a proven track record of planning and implementing strategic teamwork solutions that foster communication and collaboration, with operations and Project Management background. Luz grew up in Miami Florida, lived in Queens New York, and moved to Durham NC to start her family.

Outside of the practice, she attends yoga and works on focused training including mobility, endurance, strength, and/or power. In her free time, she enjoys reading, music, hiking, and spending time with her partner and 2 furry dogs. Luz is looking forward to pursuing her chiropractic studies as she works alongside Dr. Danielle to make an impact serving the community of Durham.
